   Proposal Description:
   Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a heterogeneous clinical construct, with some MCI individuals converting to dementia while others remain cognitively stable or even revert to normal cognition. Understanding how clinical features of the MCI diagnosis (i.e., cognitive complaint, cognitive profiles) relate to different neuropathological processes (e.g., Alzheimer???s disease, vascular  disease) may help to better refine the diagnostic properties in MCI and enhance prognosis and accurate identification of individuals at greatest risk for dementia.  This project aims to assess how clinical features of MCI are related to different pathological processes and examine how the interaction of pathologies relates to the clinical presentation of MCI.
